First, I must say Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and all of the other moms out there. It looks like the sun is finally starting to peek out behind the clouds, which would be a perfect addition to this day!
Since my family isn’t celebrating until later this afternoon, I began my morning quite leisurely. It included a healthy serving of pancakes,
some blog reading, and little HGTV. I don’t know why, but I love watching DIY shows on Sunday mornings.
After consuming my fair share of pancakes, my dad, sister and I headed to the gym. I completed 46 minutes of cardio, 30 minutes on the ArcTrainer and 16 minutes on the treadmill. I usually spend part of Sunday morning at church, but since my parents went last night, and Jordan went with his family, I took the week off. It was kind of nice going to the gym on Sunday- no crowds, and now I won’t feel so bloated (for lack of a better term) when I’m eating lots of Mother’s Day food later today.
My dad is barbecuing outside today; we’re having kabobs, and a bunch of yummy side dishes. There is also a Dairy Queen ice cream cake waiting in the freezer for after dinner- my mom’s choice.
Well, I need to get in the shower and get ready for the day. Have a great Sunday!
