Just Get Rid of Him Already

29 May

Yesterday, I was able to jump back into my workout routine for the first time in over a week. Per Danica’s suggestion, I tried Jillian Michaels’ Yoga Meldown, courtesy of YouTube. Normally I’m not a fan of yoga, but this is not your typical yoga routine. Despite it being Level 1, it was fast-paced, challenging, and helped me sweat out some germs. It’s definitely a workout that I will be going back to! I completed my second workout of the week this morning — a one hour cardio kickboxing class. Taking a week off of working out is good for the mind, but hard on the body — I’m going to be sore tomorrow (actually, I’m already kind of feeling it right now). It’s a good thing, though; I was tired of spending my days on the couch. Thank you for all of your sweet comments on Sunday’s post, by the way. It makes me feel better knowing I’m not the only one who’s been in this situation. Now that I’m feeling better, I’m hoping exercise will keep me sane :).

Speaking of staying sane, can you believe that my wedding is less than seven weeks away? Seven weeks! That might seem like a lot in real time, but in “wedding time,” it goes by fast. I feel like I still have so many little things to do, but I’m trying to conquer them one day at a time. Today, for example, I made the final payment on Jordan’s wedding band! It is now in the process of getting sized, and I can pick it up on Friday! We are also planning to get our marriage license this week, which is going to make things feel so much more real. We actually already filled out the majority of the paperwork online — how crazy is that? I feel like it’s almost too easy to married these days, which is probably why people don’t always take it seriously enough. Sad.

This brings me to my next topic (don’t you like my news reporter-like transitions today ;)?), ‘The Bachelorette.’ If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you probably already know that I follow ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’ religiously. When I was working at my old job, it was the highlight of my Monday. And now that ‘Bethenny Ever After’ is over, it will probably be a highlight of my Monday night for the majority of the summer ;).

This season’s bachelorette is Emily Maynard, America’s sweetheart. She seems perfect — perfect hair, perfect teeth, perfect skin, perfect personality, perfect daughter. I really like her, and I think some guy is going to be lucky to have her. But that guy will not be Kalon.

Source

In last night’s episode, Kalon had the nerve to tell Emily that he’s always wanted his firstborn child to be his own. Emily already has a daughter, so this is the first sign that they’re not compatible. Then, as they were talking, Emily started to say something, and Kalon said in a condescending tone, “I love it when you talk, but I wish you’d let me finish.” Emily looked like she had been slapped across the face when those words came out of his mouth, and she should have. Who does that when they’re trying to make a good impression? I was hoping she would get rid of him right then and there, but she gave him a rose, meaning he’ll stick around for another week. I’m sure the producers made edits to make it seem like he’s worse than he really is, but my gut is telling me that he’s an arrogant jerk who has no intention of being a good husband, or a good father to Emily’s daughter. Next week, she needs to get rid of him.

Clearly, I am already a little too emotionally involved in ‘The Bachelorette.’ Who’s with me ;)?

Would you stay with a guy if he snapped at you when you wanted to speak?

Do you think it’s too easy to get married? Even though I love watching ‘The Bachelorette’ and ‘The Bachelor,’ I think they are both examples of how relationships aren’t taken seriously enough.

To be fair, he didn’t say exactly what you wrote. He said, “I love it when you talk, but I wish you’d let me finish.” I think he was trying to ask her politely to let him finish, but instead it came out incredibly rude. And I also kind of agree with him that she jumped in and interupted before he could finish his whole thought.

All that being said, I still don’t like the guy and I look forward to the day when she eventually gets rid of him hahaha! 😉

Ah, thank you for correcting me! I’ll change that in my post. I couldn’t remember :). Yeah, it just came off as a rude comment, but it’s always hard to tell since they make so many edits.

Very true!! I don’t like him though, regardless. I actually saw something on realitysteve.com (don’t go there unless you want spoilers) that showed this HUGE long email that Kalon had written years ago (before the show) that was bragging about his sexual escapades. Not someone you want to bring home to mama. 😉 It was also FULL of really bad spelling mistakes. Not that that really matters, but he tries to present himself as above everyone else!

I’ve actually never seen this show! I’m not one for reality tv that much. haha

Your wedding is getting so close! Enjoy this time–it will fly by so fast since a lot of wedding activities are coming up!

I can’t deal with rude people… if there is any trace of rudeness, I want nothing to do with the person…. I’d totally get rid of him asap! I can’t believe your wedding is so soon… and your right… in wedding time, 7 weeks is going to FLY by!! 🙂

I didn’t like his comment but the guy that went was definitely the one that had to go! I thought the only reason they kept him around for the past coupe weeks is because of the drama he created in the beginning. ugh. i hated him!

Oh my god true story. I literally heard him and I was like bitch please you better step back.

Anyways-glad you could get a workout in. I think we would be a good pair to watch and judge the show!

I’m totally sucked into The Bachelor! And am not a fan of Kalon either.

i also love love the bacherlotte & bachelor, & since Emily homestate is my home state, WV – I have been watching this season religiously as well, it truly is the highlight of my Mondays. haha, Since i was traveling this past monday, i just got around to watching it last night & i was seriously disturbed by what he said & I thought she would def send him home, especially since she sent the other 2 home early, but sadly he is staying around – im thinking it may be for the producers, to add to the “drama”. But regardless, it’s crazy!

I was a big fan of Ryan, but I am no longer liking him due to his comments & behavior, i am a huge huge fan of arie now, & i think she is too, haha. I like Charlie, Chris & Arie. Who are you rooting for?

I really like Arie too! They already seem like a couple, and a very cute one. I don’t like Ryan anymore either — he’s just treating it like a competition, and she’s the prize.
