1. You can never trust the weather.
No, I am not standing in a big fancy light box. That white background is due to the blanket of snow falling out of the sky. I had to wring my hair out in the bathroom before entering the classroom. True story.
2. The kid sitting across from me is having issues with his girlfriend. How do I know this? He just had a loud ten-minute conversation with her. And we’re in the library. Seriously kid, I do not need to know the details of your love life, so please take your phone call elsewhere.
3. Last minute study sessions are often the most valuable ones. On Monday, I forgot that I had to didn’t read a play for class. With some help from enotes.com and an intense 30-minute study session before class, I scored a 100% on my quiz. This morning? I forgot that I had a history quiz. Between taking bites of my oatmeal, I typed out a 2-page study guide and did my best to remember what I had typed out. I’m pretty sure that I answered all of the questions correctly. It only took me 4 1/2 years to realize that I don’t need to do all of those readings…last minute pressure makes the brain remember ;).
4. Turning off the computer for an hour and half can make a world of difference. I finished skimming reading for my next class, and got started on some homework for next week.
5. Being the kid that runs into class late, banging on the door because it automatically locks once the professor closes it, is never cool. Which is why I better leave the library and “Relationship Boy”, and head for my next class :).
UG SNOW! I thought we were done with it!
I know! I heard that it’s supposed to get up to 70* next week…crazy weather!
its freezing here I cannot wait for spring!
me either!
Oh my goodness-every night I have what is called Amish hour where I turn off the computer for an hour and either do work (if I haven’t already) or just relax and have fun without it. It has done wonders for me. lol
That’s a great idea! I need to start doing that!
One of my biggest pet peeves is loud library people. I go there to get work done, so I don’t need to hear fights or loud music or phone calls! Ah, I am so sick of the snow too! It’s warm today, but we’re supposed to get a few inches this weekend 😦
Ah…when will spring weather be here?
What is up with people on college campuses? Do people think for some reason is acceptable to have conversations louder than they would actually speak to the person if they were there? It is mind boggling.
I know, it’s ridiculous. It was getting so bad that everyone (including myself) on the computers around him starting looking at each other. It was like we didn’t know whether to laugh, or tell him to be quiet!
Last minute cramming does sometimes provide magical results. Well done you… although the less stress of planning ahead is good too 😛
So sympathetic about your snow plight! I hate snow, and am so glad I live where it never happens 😛
Ah, I know, and I’m a little bit jealous that you live in a warm climate :)!
Oh my! Look at that snow! 🙂 I’m lucky the snow here is melting!
Whitney
I know..it was ridiculous! It’s finally starting to warm up here too!
you can never trust the weather here in Sask either! it is beautiful and sunny right now, but who knows when it will be snowing next.
Luckily i study at home and do all my schooling at home, i always have peace and quiet. and don’t have to deal with “relationship boy” or girl.
That would be nice! I usually do most of my studying at home too…I just happen to have a three hour break at school, two days a week, so I usually go to the library where the computer can distract me!
I had a test today and as soon as I turned off the computer I did more studying in an hour than the 3 I had been sitting there WITH the computer! I’m jealous of the snow, Florida is hot, humid, and rainy!
I’m so glad you enjoyed my guest post today 🙂 I’m happy Carrie let me write a guest post because now I’ve discovered so many more amazing blogs like yours to follow in the future 🙂
That’s true, I guess I do appreciate the seasons since it isn’t hot and humid here all of the time. Thank you… I’m glad I was able to discover a new blog through Carrie’s blog, as well :)!
